Mary Comtois is a music educator and classical pianist. Certified as a private music teacher, Mary has taught music lessons throughout her 30 year career. She teaches all ages from pre-schoolers to senior adults. Mary is an innovator, having created her own unique teaching system and books, and she is also a pioneer in using technology in her teaching. For example, she is one of the first private music teachers to teach lessons live online. Mary continues to explore other creative ways to make learning music easier and more enjoyable for her students.

After earning her Masters degree in music education, Mary received certification to teach music from grades k-12 (instrumental and vocal). Since then, she has spent 20 years creating and teaching music classes, which now includes pre-school through college. Most recently, she was an adjunct professor at Temple University in Philadelphia.

As a pianist, Mary has been playing a wide variety of repertoire for the past 40 years. Her focus is classical music, but she also plays Christian music and jazz. Until recently, Mary's playing career revolved around major cities in the northeast United States. New York City was her professional home for much of that time, where she played with world class instrumentalists and opera singers from the Met and NYC Opera Companies. Concurrently, Mary created Comtois Recording Company. She has recorded several of her own CDs, which have been broadcast worldwide.
